Akinoomoshin Inc. is excited to announce that we have secured funding for 2025-2026 to develop our Anishinaabemowin language plan, made possible with a grant from the Indigenous Languages and Cultures Program of the Department of Canadian Heritage via the First Nations Confederacy of Cultural Education Centres.

At the end of May, akinoomoshin wigwam hosted knowledge-keepers Noodin and Ashley Shawanda to share their expertise in peeling and working with basswood bark in preparation for an upcoming project and bag-making workshop to be held in the fall (TBD).
